Cricket in India

We had a fantastic crew on our trip to the T20 Cricket World Cup trip in March 2016.

We have since sent some cricket nuts over to do it all again for the Australian team tour of India in March 2017 and November 2018.

If you want to see the IPL or any other upcoming tours as part of your trip just let us know.

Why go to India to watch cricket?

Cricket is the one thing that binds the many cultures of India together.

The Indian supporters love their team but also have a deep love of the game and its traditions. The atmosphere at an Indian cricket game is special. Australian spectators are usually welcomed warmly by the Indian spectators who will be keen to learn more about you and share the action and excitement of the game with you.

Incorporating some cricket spectating into your holiday will allow you to see the passion of the Indians for the national game and give you the rare chance to cheer on the Aussies in India.

They need all the support they can get when coming up against 1.3 billion fanatical Indian supporters and a hot, dusty pitch full of turn.

But I don’t like cricket!

For those who have not caught the cricket bug please don’t despair.

You may prefer to see very little leather on willow, or skip the cricket altogether.  We will be happy to take you on your tour within the tour and leave the cricket to the others.

Then we can all meet up at the end of the day for dinner and compare notes on who had the best day!

Lock it in

Let us know if you are interested in seeing some cricket whilst you are in India. This really is a great chance to see the magic of India and a bit of the madness of Indian crickets fans in the flesh.
